In this month’s Imbibe magazine, a team of intrepid bartenders reveal the results of their search for the Holy Grail of Martini – and Hepple Gin was one of the 10 they put to the test. We created Hepple to make the perfect Martini gin and it’s good to see a line-up of professionals rate it so highly.
With such a wide range of gins covering such a spectrum of flavour, gin now accepts a much wider range of food pairing than ever before, and when it comes to matching Hepple with food we have our own ideas about what works best.
We gathered friends and family to celebrate the opening of The Goring Gin Garden on Thursday 26 May. The hotel’s gardens in Belgravia are a tranquil oasis just moments from the hustle and bustle of Victoria Station. We hope these photos from the evening inspire you to visit over the summer.
This summer our Living Bar and Gin Safari is open in the tranquil gardens of The Goring Hotel in Belgravia. But how on earth did the idea of building a Northumberland hill complete with juniper and heather in central London come about, and how did we do it. Flynn Warren who designed and built the bar picks up the story.
Just like Hepple, The Goring Hotel in London has an uncompromisingly independent spirit – and is impeccably and wonderfully English. We are thrilled to be bringing a bit of the Hepple estate and the wild Northumberland moors to Belgravia for the summer.
We were delighted to pick up a copy of Tristan Stephenson’s new book about gin – The Curious Bartender’s Gin Palace, and read his enthusiastic review of Hepple Gin. He describes Hepple as “probably the most important gin distillery to open this decade.”
