Just like Hepple, The Goring Hotel in London has an uncompromisingly independent spirit – and is impeccably and wonderfully English. We are thrilled to be bringing a bit of the Hepple estate and the wild Northumberland moors to Belgravia for the summer.
We’ve created a living hill of heather and wildflowers surrounded by a mini forest of botanicals all of which is really a gin bar in disguise in the hotel’s large private garden. The Gin Garden will be open from Wednesday 1st June for the summer months ahead. To help bring this mantra to life the garden has been planted with English juniper, Douglas fir, lovage, blackcurrant and other key botanicals which form the very distinctive Hepple flavour – guests will be able to plunge themselves into an immersive gin safari around the garden, tasting and smelling each botanical – from the plant to the glass.
A menu of cocktails has been specially created by the Hepple team to bring the flavours of Northumberland deliciously to The Goring: Hepple Martini; Botanic Mystery; Army and Navy; Hepple 75 and a Summer Cup.
To complement the Hepple cocktails, a menu of gin-inspired light bites – such as pine and juniper cured salmon with black bread – has been curated by The Goring’s Chef Shay Cooper in collaboration with Valentine Warner.
